If you enjoy domestic cricket, this is good news for you. For a while now, I have wanted to expand my coverage of the domestic scene but felt that I couldn’t churn out more articles without sounding like a match reporter ( a job I gladly do elsewhere). Then two things happened: Pitch Vision began broadcasting local matches on YouTube and Substack upped their game on supporting video content. The result was a decision to add highlight reels to the content I offer.
I cannot possibly cover all the players, so bear with me if I fail to create a highlights reel on your favourite domestic cricketer. The reels will have minimal commentary from me, they are for your viewing pleasure.

To kick off this new thing, here is Lhuan-dre Pretorius’ match-winning knock when South Africa Under-19 rolled over Zimbabwe Under-19 this past weekend. Pretorius is part of the DP World Lions set-up and was picked by the Paarl Royals as their rookie for the 2024 season.
