Hi. I’m CS. I’m a writer. This is Stumped! It’s free!

Thanks for visiting Stumped! a free newsletter that takes a look at sports and the people involved in sports - mostly cricket.

Sports, for me, has always been about the people that are involved in it. The players, the coaches, the backroom staff, the fans… That has always been my gateway into sports or following teams, knowing and understanding the people in it. Sportspeople make the difficult and near-impossible look easy. So, how do they do it? When I was young, that information was not readily available, we made up stories and created myths about our stars. Years later, I am one of the few pulling back the curtain into the world that was once inaccessible.

I will be talking year-round to people in and around cricket and will be bringing that information directly to your inbox. I will take you with me on my trips and share what I see and hear. I will report to you.

I am biased, but I truly believe that it’s content and perspective that you can’t find anywhere else. I’d be appreciative if you signed up. Here is an easy button to subscribe:

Stumped! is a reader-supported newsletter. There are no ads on Substack, so your subscriber support makes a direct impact on my coverage, enabling me to pursue the stories you want to read and tell them properly and thoroughly.

An unbelievable amount of time and energy goes into the making and upkeep of this newsletter. Some really nice people help out by leaving tips. I’d be doubly appreciative if you leave me a tip. Your tips go a long way.
